Mike Nigliaccio is currently working as a teacher assistant at Palatine High School. He is also an assistant coach for both the boys cross country and track and field teams, specializing in the distance events and pole vault. Before his Palatine tenure, Mike coached both sports at Deerfield high school and was a volunteer assistant for the Palatine boys cross country team that claimed the Class 3A state title in 2011.

Mike formerly worked as an end user support specialist at Brunswick Corporation in Mettawa, IL. In his time at Brunswick he performed repair/troubleshooting on all IT Hardware, including laptops, desktops, WAP, printers, scanners, Android and Apple phones, and Shoretel IP Phones. His software expertise includes Windows 7, 8, 10, and many others.

He graduated from Palatine High School in 2005 and was a member of the cross country and track teams for four years. While in high school, Mike was part of the 2003 and 2004 Palatine boys teams that placed 2nd in Class 2A cross country. After graduating, he ran and vaulted at Augustana for a year before finishing his college experience at Southern Illinois-Carbondale with a degree in Parks and Recreation. 

Mike enjoys playing board games and card games with his friends, playing airsoft, hanging out with his pets (2 cats, 1 dog, and a horse), and watching hockey. He is engaged to his fiance Samantha and is a lifelong Palatine resident.
